The New York Giants may have to make the hardest choice of any NFL team.
That means they are trying to decide what to do with quarterback Daniel Jones.
Jones just finished a season in which he led the Giants to the playoffs, but statistically, it was not his best year.
Jones threw 15 touchdowns and only five interceptions in 16 games.
He was most useful when he ran the ball. He ran for 708 yards and seven touchdowns, which was a career-high.
But since Jones needs a new deal, the Giants are in a bad spot.
It looks like he wants to make around $40 million per year, but many people don’t think that’s fair.

But if they let him go, the Giants don’t have any other good quarterbacks on their team.
Jordan Raanan of ESPN says that the Giants and Jones are making progress on a deal.
If this deal goes through, it could really hurt the Giants.
Jones will take up a lot of the Giants’ salary cap, which will make it hard for them to put good players around him.
The 25-year-old has not shown that he can win games with his arm on a regular basis.
But he will have to do that if he wants to make $40 million a year.
Jones is lucky because his head coach, Brian Daboll, is very good and puts him in a position to succeed.
Jones will have to do a lot more once he signs this huge contract, though.
