After a lengthy hiatus, Andrew Wiggins rejoined the Golden State Warriors roster. Before the playoffs, the Canadian missed more than 20 games for the defending champions, which put them in a bind. On the road, the Warriors’ form was dismal, to put it mildly. Wiggins’ defense was greatly missed, and upon his return, he didn’t appear to be himself.
In seven games, Wiggins averaged 18.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.9 blocks at the end of the Sacramento Kings series. In Game 7, Stephen Curry scored a game-high 50 points, sending The Dubs on to the next round. Given that the Los Angeles Lakers are now leading the series 3-2, the Golden State Warriors haven’t looked this bad in a very long time.
Andrew Wiggins suffered a costal cartilage fracture in Game 5 of Lakers vs Warriors
Andrew Wiggins had a serious injury in Game 5, and his availability for Game 6 is still uncertain. The notorious corgi has astonishingly predicted that the Warriors will rally from a 3-1 deficit. However, given his performance of 25 points, Wiggins’ participation will be essential for that to occur.
Wiggins was ready to try for a rebound after a Steph Curry shot in the fourth quarter. Although Wiggins made contact with LeBron James, the Chef made the shot. He immediately began to grasp his chest, as though he were uncomfortable. Later information from sources indicated that Wiggins had a fractured costal cartilage.

Wiggins has been fortunate enough during his career to avoid any serious injuries. Although it is unknown whether the fracture will keep him out of action, he is doubtful to play against the Lakers. Costal cartilage fractures are uncommon; they only happen as a result of blunt chest trauma and are visible when one’s ribs are broken.
Even though Wiggins’ interaction with King James did not seem to be very strong, it appears that it was sufficient to harm the former. According to reports, the fracture would severely restrict his ability to move and breathe. With that stated, Steve Kerr’s team may decide on him during the game, but Warriors supporters will be hopeful Wiggins can return.
