Following her arrest, there were numerous stories about her personal life that barely touched the surface. Including ones about her past in general, her sexual orientation, and her dating life. The public’s attention was drawn to one particular aspect.
The Phoenix Mercury great wed Glory Johnson, a WNBA player, back in 2015. Griner alleged that she was forced into the marriage and ultimately used IVF to have children. Shortly after giving birth to twins, Griner divorced. After their divorce, there was a rumor that Brittney started dating NBA player Anthony Davis.

Whoever put up the rumor about me getting engaged is corny, he said. People, I’m not even engaged!Whether that is accurate or not, Griner did start dating Cherelle Griner, who is now her wife. They both got married in 2020, and they’ve been living together happily ever since.

Anthony Davis and Brittney Griner’s relationship is not supported by any evidence. Griner’s alleged relationship with an NBA player has been conjectured upon before. A video of her kissing Kevin Duranton on the cheek reappeared online midway through her imprisonment. In any case, it appears like Griner is close with Durant and Davis outside of the workplace.
Davis issued a statement after being freed that read, “Being in Russia for as long as she was, inhumane living conditions.” I believe they displayed the bed she slept in. She had chopped her dreads, so when I first saw her, I wasn’t sure it was her. I’m not sure if it was done willingly or not. But having one’s own back is always a good idea.He kept saying how happy he was that Griner was back at home.

Brittney Griner first appeared in front of the camera back in March when she walked into the Phoenix Mercury gym. KD was there in the gym. Long embraces were given by the two, expressing their joy at being reunited.
Brittney was in a very dire predicament. She was given a nine-year prison term at the Russian Penal Colonies in August 2022. Nevertheless, things suddenly changed in December when the Russians consented to trade her for Viktor Bout.
