While her father, John Alexander, has a combined heritage of African-American and Polish, her mother, Carol, has roots in Afro-American as well as Chinese-Jamican. With such mixed background, Ayesha did suffer at the start of her career. Overcoming it, she seemed to find her way now. Alongside the support of her husband, Stephen, Ayesha has become a successful personality in the culinary industry.

Due to her mixed ancestry, Ayesha presently possesses dual citizenship in both the United States and Canada. She was born in Canada, and when she was 14 her family relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina. The son of Sonya and Dell Curry, her husband Stephen Curry is likewise of Afro-American descent. Sonya and Dell, Stephen’s parents, are both Virginia residents.

She encountered various difficulties after her family relocated to the United States because of her varied background. She had to use any one of her backgrounds to represent herself. She spoke at length about it in one of her earlier appearances on The View.

I was black growing up in Toronto. I’m a lady of color. At the outset of my freshman year in high school, I relocated to North Carolina, where the question was, “Who do you choose?” I have always loved who I am. However, it said there, “No, you’re going here.” Then, it appeared as though my community was unwilling to welcome and embrace me. It stung in that way.She spoke of.Ayesha taught her children about their heritage as well.

Ayesha, who was initially rejected by the black community, inspiredly started a magazine called Sweet July in 2020. The goal of the magazine’s launch was to empower black women by sharing their illuminating journey along with tales of their faith and families.
