The Boston Celtics and Miami Heat will once more face off in the Eastern Conference Finals. The two teams will face off in the Conference Finals for the third time in five seasons. The Boston Celtics won the series in Game 7 of the same matchup as the previous season. However, the two cities clash once more to secure their spots in the NBA Finals.
In their last five meetings in the Conference Finals, the two teams have split their victories. The team with the best statistical record will be determined by this tie, although nobody will be really concerned about it. After upsetting the Milwaukee Bucks, who were leading the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat astonished everyone. The Miami Heat pulled off a major upset by defeating the New York Knicks later on to secure their place in the Conference Finals.
The Celtics’ first-round matchup with the Atlanta Hawks was rather straightforward, and they prevailed 4-2. To win the series against the Philadelphia 76ers, they had to force Game 7, so it was a tough situation. The Celtics put up a tremendous fight to win the series against the 76ers. They will now compete against their foes from the previous season in the Conference Finals.
Both teams have a huge contrast in the quality that they possess. The Miami Heat have relied heavily on Butler, who is not showing signs of slowing down. He has played through injuries, and playing at the same level he did in 2020. The Celtics have a healthy roster, with Tatum being the best player out of the bunch. However, Jaylen Brown has contributed heavily to sharing the scoring burden.

Due to the shared history of the two teams, the series should be exciting. The Celtics, however, stand a much greater chance of returning to the Conference Finals victorious. Simply put, the Heat’s serious injuries prevent them from being able to compete against the Celtics. The Celtics, on the other hand, have a starting lineup that is healthy. Butler can be a pain in the neck, as we saw in the Playoffs, so we can anticipate the series going down to the wire.
