His father, who currently plays for theLos Angeles Lakers, has also wanted to play alongside Bronny at some point during his career. LeBron was always enthusiastic that it would happen before he retires. If it did happen, it would make them the first-ever father-son NBA duo. However, James Sr. is inching closer to retirement and this dream is reliant on Bronny to be fulfilled.

The 6 3 guard out of Sierra Canyon was named a McDonalds All-American recently. He also confirmed that he will attend the University of Southern California. This means that he will participate with the USC Trojans alongside another star recruit, DJ Rodman, son of the legendary Dennis Rodman. He will make his debut in a couple of months. But now that LeBron s future is under question, he might be the only one to make him stay.
LeBron James considers retirement before fulfilling a lifelong dream
The Lakers had an incredible playoff run despite having one of their worst regular seasons. They played against theDenver Nuggetsin the Western Conference Finals. Unfortunately, the Lakers were defeated in four games and eliminated from the playoffs. A visibly upset LeBron James attended the post-game press conference and had some cryptic words for the media.
During the press conference, a reporter had asked LeBron how the Lakers and himself plan on going about in the future. His response to the reporter was,If I want to continue to play. When the reporter double-checked whether James was considering retirement, the 4x NBA Champion agreed saying he d have to think about continuing.
LeBron still has two more seasons left to compete with the Lakers after which hiscontractexpires. He could opt out of the 2024-2025 player option and test free agency or retire. If he does retire this summer or after next season, he will have to forego his dream of playing alongside Bronny. His son is projected to enter the 2024 Draft but Bronny hasn t addressed whether he plans on finishing his degree. He might be the only reason James chooses to play for two more years minimum.
