Many fans will be aware of the accomplishments of NBA legendCarmelo Anthony. To those who do not know, Carmelo entered into the league in the same draft class asLeBron James. Therefore, he always had the proverbial chip on his shoulder and felt he had something to prove. especially given that King James was being likened to him.
A lot of fans are relatively new to the sport and might not be able to recall how events went down years ago. Championships are the most used ways to determine how good a player was throughout their career. While that might not be very fair, let us still take a look at whether Carmelo was able to win a coveted ring and what his best seasons in the league looked like.
Carmelo Anthony has never won an NBA championship
Veteran NBA fans will remember how great a player Carmelo was. He is certainly on the list alongside some of the other best scorers that the game has ever seen. Melo was well known for his deadly midrange and post-game. The number of options he had made him near unguardable during his prime.
Throughout his 19-year-long career in the league, Anthony played for multiple teams including the OKC Thunder, Los Angeles Lakers, and Houston Rockets. He shifted teams towards the back end of his career in order to win an NBA title. However, he never managed to do so and is now no longer in the league.
The early years of Melo s career were spent with the Denver Nuggets. During his best years there, heaveragedaround 28 points, 7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. However, he never had much luck in the NBA playoffs as the Nuggets were constantly eliminated.
Finally, in the 2009-2009 NBA playoffs, Melo and the Nuggets managed to make it to the Conference Finals. Unfortunately for them, they ran into Kobe Bryant and the Lakers, who eliminated them and ended up winning the title that year.
That is the furthest that Carmelo Anthony has gone in the NBA playoffs throughout his career. It is somewhat sad to see that great players such as him, Damian Lillard, James Harden, and several others were unable to even make the NBA Finals thus far in their careers, let alone win a championship.
