Dillon Brookshas emerged as the biggest villain in the 2022-23 Season. It has been a great journey for him and theMemphis Grizzlies. The last two years were filled with success, but the question is, has Brooks allowed it to get into his head? Memphis heavily relies on the forward to work its defense. He is a part of the reason why the Grizzlies are at the top as well.
Lately, he has involved himself in a serious feud withLeBron James. TheLos Angeles Lakersforward has never been one to pick up drama or fights. James is always focused on the game. Dillon, on the other hand, picked up a bit of drama against the King. Earlier in the series, Brooks proceeded to call James old and that the King wasn t on the same level as he used to be.
He also went on to taunt LeBron saying,I poke bears. I don t respect no one until they come and give me 40.Brooks was bold to challenge James. But his taunt was irrelevant considering the numbers Bron has been putting up. James averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game during the regular season. Not to mention that Brooks numbers are a fragment of what James puts up.

DuringGame 4of the Grizzlies vs Lakers series, LeBron James was on fire against Dillon Brooks. The King finished with a monstrous double-double of 22 points and 20 rebounds. James simply bullied Brooks all the way through while the latter only had 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Ever since Brooks comments, Memphis has been struggling. They are down 1-3 against the Lakers and could potentially exit this round.
Fans were excited to see Dillon Brooks get a taste of his own words against him. One fan said,Don t ever poke the bear,which was a direct reference to Brooks comments. However, LeBron James felt that his actions weren t enough to put Brooks in his place. Ahead of Game 3, James confronted Dillon during warm-ups. According to Brooks, LeBron told him his date of birth. This could have been a sarcastic response but for Bron, it seemed more personal. Brooks also landed a groin shot on James in Game 3 which resulted in a Flagrant 2 and an ejection.
