Speaking onThe Pivot podcast, The Rock opened up about his relationship with the late Kobe Bryant and how the latter inspired him. Johnson stated that it was the small things aboutKobe Bryantthat inspired him most and that he never backed down from putting in the work.
I loved Kobe, what he stood for, and his work ethic. And I love sometimes, as hard as Kobe worked, I loved that when he spoke in this way, that I always felt was so simplified and powerful. He would say something to the effect of, You re a little better today than you were yesterday. Wake up tomorrow, and let s be better tomorrow than you were today. Don t think of this as a loss, you re gonna learn. And then, that level of hunger is always inspiring when it comes to Kobe because he is a guy who reached the top.
During his illustrious 20-year career, Kobe Bryant was always with the LA Lakers and won 10 NBA championships with them. He also ranks fourth on the list of most points scored and is second on the list of most All-Star MVP trophies.
