After Doncic missed a game-tying layup with seconds left, Booker said something to him that he didn’t like
On Sunday, Dallas Mavericks point guard Luka Doncic and Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker got into a fight at the end of the Suns’ 130-126 win. They were face-to-face and yelling at each other.
With six seconds left in the game, the Mavericks had the ball and the Suns were ahead 128-126. The ball was obviously in Doncic’s hands for a shot of this importance to tie the game.
But his four-foot layup missed the basket, and Kevin Durant grabbed the rebound to force a foul and win the game with free throws.
Doncic couldn’t believe the shot didn’t go in when he fouled Durant after he fell. Doncic also heard something Booker said, which made him rush up to him so quickly that they had to be pulled apart.

After a review by the referee, both Doncic and Booker were given technical fouls that evened things out. Phoenix won the game when Durant finally made both free throws.
When it was time for interviews after the game, both Doncic and Booker talked about what happened. Reporters were interested in what they said. Doncic noticed that Booker talked to him before that shot, but he said he couldn’t say more because he or Booker might get fined if he did.
But he did make a small dig at the Suns’ star.
“It’s game of competition. Everything’s fine. Next time, don’t wait until three seconds are left to say something “Doncic said.
On the other hand, Booker said that he was talking to the ref.
The video also showed Kyrie Irving, who was traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Dallas Mavericks before the NBA trade deadline, talking with Booker.
Both teams are currently in the position to make the playoffs. The Suns are in the fourth seed, and Dallas is in the seventh seed. So, this matchup could be seen in the future when it counts the most.
Durant, who was traded from the Nets to the Suns last month, led this game in scoring with 37 points, seven rebounds, and three assists in 40 minutes. Booker almost tied him with 36 points of his own, and he also had 10 assists for a double-double.
