Before the Grizzlies selected Ja as their top pick in the NBA Draft, he spent two years in college. He virtually doubled his stats in most sectors by the conclusion of his senior year, though. The most notable development in his career, though, came in his senior year, when he nearly doubled his scoring average. In his junior season, he scored an average of 12.7 points per game, and in his senior season, he increased it to 24.5 points per game.
