Unexpected salary reduction of $39 million hit Ja Morant hard. The point guard for the Memphis Grizzlies inked a rookie maximum agreement worth $192.2 for five years last year. Morant was not given a supermax contract by the Grizzlies despite the fact that he had successfully guided the team into the playoffs each of the previous two seasons. It was planned to offer him a respectable 30% raise, making his deal worth nearly $230 million.
The only requirement for the 2022 Most Improved Player of the Year was that he receive All-NBA recognition. On the other hand, out of the allocated 100 votes, he only garnered 10 votes for the second team and 14 votes for the third team. Ja was essentially left out of the All-NBA team for a number of reasons. One of them has to do with his deteriorating peer reputation.

He only participated in 61 games total and 59 games during the regular season, which is another significant factor. If he hadn’t been subjected to an eight-game suspension, he would have been a strong candidate for All-NBA honors.
He would have played more games than the majority of this year’s award winners if he had played 69 of them. Ja scored 26.2 points, had 8.1 assists, and 5.9 rebounds per game on average. This season, the Los Angeles Lakers eliminated the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round.
Ja Morant spotted partying despite an upsetting post-season
Ja Morant is determined to have a good time away from the court despite the Grizzlies’ extremely disappointing postseason run against LeBron James and the Lakers. Although the #7 Lakers were expected to defeat the #2 Grizzlies, LA’s comeback saw them advance in just six games. One of their best supporting cast members for Morant, Dillon Brooks, was just let go by Memphis. Brooks was fired as a result of his involvement in a lot of drama.

Morant was recently observed having a good time with his friends in a club. Morant danced around with the spotlight on him while NBA YoungBoy’s song Big Truck played in the background. Despite the point guard’s happiness, his reputation in Memphis and the NBA is in ruins. In fact, he was suspended for eight games as a result of his behavior off the court. He lost his All-NBA status as a result of this.
Ja ran afoul of the law after he displayed a gun while doing a live Instagram show. Several Memphis residents filed assault reports against him as a result of this incident. He was accused of assaulting Joshua Holloway, a youngster, when the latter unintentionally passed the ball to his face. A shoe store owner also complained that Morant and his mother created a disturbance outside of his business. The shopkeeper allegedly thought he was in danger, according to the police.
