Many of us might have already heard about the theories. Since Jimmy never knew his father and Michael allegedly had a child which was hushed up, this allowed for this idea to grow. Not to mention the fact that both of them look quite similar.
If there was any reason left to doubt this, Butler inadvertently destroyed them with an unreal performance during Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics. Let us take a closer look at what Jimmy was able to accomplish and how fans are reacting to it.

We have already mentioned the suspicious coincidences in their lives and their similar looks. However, that is not the only reason for fans to engage in this constant comparison between Butler and MJ. The main reason for them to be doing so is the consistent performances we have seen from Jimmy Butler in this NBA postseason so far.

He put up incredible stats to eliminate teams like the Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks. Most recently, Butlerscored35 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, and even 5 steals in order to lead his team to a win in Game 1 against the Celtics.
Being competent in all spheres including steals has put Butler in the company of none other than Michael Jordan. Hence the comparisons have grown with each dominant performance. Especially after Butler managed to carry his team to a second consecutive win on the road in Game 2 vs Celtics. The fans have embraced this idea and even flood the comments sections on social media posts about Jimmy Butler.

We already know that Jimmy has denied there being any validity to these theories about him and Jordan. He has done so by claiming to still be in touch with his real father and mother. However, this has not dissuaded fans from continuing to push for this theory. Whether Butler is Jordan s son or not, it is highly likely for people to continue propagating the idea for as long as Jimmy s postseason dominance continues.
