Gervonta Tank Davisrecently defeatedRyan Garcia, handing over the former interim lightweight title holder his first-ever loss. However, Shakur Stevenson claimed that he would be a far matchup against Davis. According toTMZ, Stevenson said,I would love that fight. I think that s the biggest and best fight in the sport of boxing. You have someone who appeared in his era similar to Michael Jordan. Then you got a LeBron that came around in his era but they wasn t in the same era so we never got to see them go against each other.
He made a huge comparison of their potential matchup to the GOAT debate betweenMichael JordanandLeBron James. Stylistically, both Davis and Shakur are very similar. They are both incredible knockout artists but Tank has shown far more determination in his fights. Gervonta recently entered the top ten pound-for-pound fighters list in boxing.

Coming into this fight, Garcia was seen as the favorite to win. However, Davis came loaded with tanks for fists, as his nickname would suggest. Davis had a couple of turning points during the fight after knocking down Garcia twice. Once during the second round and then a liver shot during the seventh which ultimately led to a 10-count knockout.

He ain t know his distance. He was looking for one left hook the whole entire fight. He threw a left hook three times in a row and got clipped,Shakur Stevenson said. He went on to call out Garcia for being negligent towards Davis game. He said,Anybody knows that when you re fighting Tank, you can t do something three times in a row because his brain is like a computer. He picks up on it.

Stevenson shows a lot of courage in challenging Tank Davis for a fight. It would be fairly interesting to see two fighters of the same caliber in a bout together. Stevenson claims that he will be the biggest fight in Davis career and boxing history. It is certain that fans will soon start pushing for this bout to take place as well.
