The NBA draft presents an exceptional prospect each year. Some of the players were even recruited right after their senior year in high school. Similarly this year, Victor Wembanyama, a French basketball player has taken all the spotlight to himself. Following the 2022 NBA draft, Victor was already seen as the top pick for this year s draft. The number 1 pick has dominated at the international league, LNB in France.

The 19-year-old stands at 7 2, though his game is as versatile as that of a guard as well as a forward. The reason Victor is so heavily prospected is due to his ability to play at an elite level, knowing his size to be massive. His skills are pretty polished and the French player is set to play in the NBA this year. Players like Kobe Bryant, Tracy McGrady, and LeBron James were all expected to be one of the best players in the league one day. Looking at Victor s potential, he is no less of a star.

The 2023 draft class will definitely be known as Victor s draft class, considering the youngster s popularity this early.Victorhas played 3 seasons in the LNB Pro A. The first two seasons weren t the best for Victor. In his first season, Victor averaged 6 points and 4 rebounds a game as a 16-year-old. Going into his sophomore year, Victor s minutes on the floor had increased and so did his numbers. He averaged 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 block a game in the 2021-22 season of the LNB Pro A.

Though his numbers seemed pretty average after two seasons, Victor s performance skyrocketed by his third season. Wembanyama is putting up 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks a game in his current season, having the scouts amazed. It is not always that a prospect would put up 20+ points and 10+ rebounds in a professional league before being drafted. After LeBron James,Victor is the prodigywho is being seen as the future NBA legend and Hall of Famer.

The teenager is versatile on the defensive end, as he recovers back on his player pretty quickly. He is also a consistent shooter, being a threat from the outside. Overall, Wembanyama is apretty solid playerwho is active on both ends of the floor. He is set to make his debut this year, and Spurs fans cannot wait to see him on the floor.
