There are several aspects that Collins excels in, most notably when he plays around the rim. Recruiting Analysts claim that he is an exceptional scorer of the ball and a high-level shot blocker. The 20-year-old college athlete is yet to have a breakout season and LSU might just become the reason he achieves it. Back in high school, Collins was an elite scorer who also showcased high-level defense.

Daimion Collins decided to transfer his talent over to LSU after spending two years at the University of Kentucky playing for the Wildcats. He will be joining forces with theLSU Tigersstar player KJ Williams. Unlike their counterparts in the women s division, the men s roster has not been very successful. Yet they are hopeful that Collins changes it.
Is Daimion Collins good?
During his first year out of high school, as a Freshmen heaveraged2.9 points and 2 rebounds per game. Unfortunately, his stats weren t too great after having a few explosive years in high school. During the 2022-23 competitive season in college, he put up 1.9 points and 1.9 assists per game. Daimion Collins only averaged under 8 minutes per game which may have been the reason behind his decline in productivity.
Things were the complete opposite during high school as Collins averaged numbers that gave him MVP honors. As a junior, he put up 24.6 points and 13.7 rebounds along with 7.7 blocks per game. However, as a senior his stats skyrocketed as he averaged 35.2 points, 14.4 rebounds, 7 assists, and 6.2 blocks per game. According to Walter s Wildcat World, Collins helped Atlanta High School win multiple area and district accolades.
He also won a lot of personal accolades along the way. Daimion was named Texas Gatorade Player of the Year, Naismith, and MaxPreps All-American Third and First Team respectively. He was ranked No.13 in the country as a high school recruit as well. Collins was named a Mcdonald s All-American and Jordan Brand Classic team member. He earned All-American Team honors from various sports organizations and also excelled as a track athlete.
