The Los Angeles Lakers, who will compete in the Western Conference Finals, have done a great job under the leadership of Darvin Ham. Following a disastrous season the previous year, the Lakers sacked head coach Frank Vogel. After winning the NBA championship, the former head coach was unable to repeat the feat. The Lakers, though, appear to be a much better club now that Ham has been named head coach.

We get the soda, get out of there, he said. They start clapping just hitting shots right? So I turned and looked toward the shots. And that s when I got hit. If I d just ducked or tried to lean over, I wouldn t be sitting here in front of you all right now. Ham continued.

Given that I turned and glanced in the direction of the gunfire, one of the bullets ricocheted off my chin and struck the left side of my neck. Ham said, “I spent about 11 days in the hospital.” One of the league’s most honorable individuals is Ham. There have been moments in his life that have changed him, and he has a humble and joyful disposition. Getting on the Lakers is a significant improvement. Although there is a great deal of pressure, Ham has done a wonderful job.
